ATTORNEY BIO

Michael is a “go-to” for clients facing high stakes legal crises.

His experience includes high profile defamation and reputation defense cases, defending against federal and state criminal investigations and charges, litigating complex civil disputes and appeals in federal and state courts across the country, conducting sensitive internal investigations, and handling high conflict divorce and custody disputes.

His individual clients are entrepreneurs and business executives, professional athletes, A-listers, influencers, politicians, and more. His enterprise clients are involved in virtually every industry, including cannabis, casinos and gaming, construction and real estate, entertainment and media, finance and private equity, healthcare, oil and gas, federal and state politics, and sports.

When his clients aren’t in crisis, they rely on Michael to broker and negotiate business deals of different sizes and variety. He has negotiated endorsement agreements for both brands and talent, facilitated investments in unconventional markets like cannabis and crypto, and structured innovative, record-breaking player agreements for professional athletes. Clients also leverage Michael’s sophisticated understanding of political processes to advance favorable legislation and other causes in Congress and at the state house.

Before founding Strauss Law Group, Michael honed his skills at international law firms in New York City and Boston. After that, Michael served as personal attorney to a successful entrepreneur and General Counsel for that entrepreneur’s various operating companies.
